SierraNet PAM4 Adapters are the latest in the line of industry leading test and measurement tools designed for early adopters of today’s high-speed storage and communications fabrics. The PAM4 Adapters support examination of a single link of 50Gb Ethernet or a single link of 64G Fibre Channel. There are two hardware options available, one adapter (HSF-TP4M-050-X) for those who need only Ethernet analysis capabilities, and one (HSF-TP4M-064-X) for those customers requiring both Ethernet and Fibre Channel PAM4 analysis.
The PAM4 Adapters provide engineers 100% recording capabilities for all data-link through complete data payload layers, with accurate and precise decoding enabled in the Net Protocol Suite™ software application. A wide range of SAN and LAN specific protocols are supported for triggering, capture and analysis operations, among these are Fibre Channel, NVMe-oF™, FC-NVMe™, FCoE, iSCSI, and TCP/IP related traffic.
SierraNet PAM4 Adapters connect to the link or fabric under test via a single pair of SFP28 connectors. The Adapter is then connected to the T/M328 with the Teledyne LeCroy supplied QSFP28 to SFP28 copper fan out cables. The SierraNet PAM4 Adapters may be used for test on both QSFP and SFP native NIC, Server, or Switch ports interfaces.
As is the case with existing SierraNet platforms, when used with the PAM4 Adapter, they may be connected via the CrossSync™ application to other Teledyne LeCroy protocol tools to observe traffic across multiple connections to understand how traffic, stimulus, or errors propagate across bridges or adapters.
The Net Protocol Suite utility provides the most advanced triggering and filtering state machines available. Up to 24 states, with four transitions per state, and multiple trigger, filter, and timer conditions per capture project are standard features. Advanced triggering enables state specific filtering to eliminate the capture of unwanted traffic, providing users intuitive and easy navigation to the information and events of importance
